# SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test^{TM}

All of our tutors are experienced teachers at highly regarded, competitive schools, who have taught their subjects extensively and have received excellent student evaluations throughout their careers.

Preparation for SAT Subject Tests begins after mock exam to evaluate areas of weakness. Focus of prep includes test-specific study skills as well as a comprehensive review of subjects the student either has not learned or has struggled to grasp. Figuring out what the course has covered relative to what the test will cover is always a major goal, and we are always happy to talk with the student’s teacher to determine what if any gaps exist.

### Who should take this test?

Many colleges prefer the SAT Math Level 2 as opposed to Math Level 1, so you really need to look at the specific requirements of the schools you are considering. Just don’t go into this test thinking you will do well unless you got really good grades in most of your math classes. But if you did, and you intend to major in a math or science in college, this might be your time to shine,

### What subjects are likely to appear?

The Mathematics Level 2 Subject Test covers the same material as the Math 1 test — with the addition of trigonometry and elementary functions (precalculus).** **

### How is the curve on the Mathematics Level 2, relative to Level 1?

It is much more forgiving. Of course, you do need that additional year of trigonometry and precalculus.** **

### How we can help you excel:

We will give you a diagnostic test and see how that goes, and from that get an idea of what your weak points are (both from that test, and also from what you tell us). We then look at how much time you have for preparation and go from there. At this point in your math careers you recognize the best way to learn is by cranking through lots and lots of problems, and of course doing lots of practice tests. When you combine that with appropriate test taking skills, your scores will go up. Remember, all of our math tutors are actual math teachers, and have a pretty good idea of what you need to improve.
